The Administering Body advises it has reviewed a risk assessment principles checklist submitted for the above mentioned product. The product is a free-standing appliance designed for domestic use.
The Administering Body verifies that the risk assessment principles checklist undertaken for this product type has identified risks that potentially require mitigation through the
WaterMark Certification Scheme.
This product type does present a risk requiring mitigation through the WaterMark Certification Scheme, however, this would be a duplication of risk mitigation to the already recognised national electrical safety regulations.
The Administrating Body considers that the mandatory compliance to AS/NZS 60335.1, AS/NZS 60335.2.7 & AS/NZS 60335.2.11 through the WaterMark Certification Scheme.
Electrical Equipment Safety System
Registration satisfactorily mitigates the risks identified for this product type.
Therefore, this product type will now be listed on the WaterMark Schedule of Excluded Products, notwithstanding the need for this product type to be supported with evidence of suitability to be installed within a plumbing and drainage system in accordance with A5.6 (3) of the Plumbing Code of Australia. The option of evidence of suitability that will be listed on the Schedule will be compliance to AS/NZS 60335.1, AS/NZS 60335.2.7 & AS/NZS 60335.2.11.
