Assessment
The WaterMark Administration advises it has reviewed a risk assessment submitted for
the above mentioned product. The product is a built-in steam combination oven, with a
connection to a mains water service. The appliance is designed for domestic use and
connected to a fixed water supply connection ready for use.
The WaterMark Administration verifies that the risk assessment for the built-in steam
combination oven has identified risks that potentially require mitigation through the
WaterMark Certification Scheme.
Outcome
The Risk Assessment identified the overall risk rating being medium for the nominated
health and safety consequences incidences. In accordance with the Manual for the
WaterMark Certification Scheme, Appendix 3, Table D, any product with an overall risk
rating of medium shall require risk mitigation through the Scheme, except where to do
so would duplicate risk mitigation achieved through another nationally recognised
means.
The Administrating Body considers that the mandatory compliance to AS/NZS 60335.1
& AS/NZS 60335.2.6 through the Electrical Equipment Safety System Registration
satisfactorily mitigates the risks identified for this product.
Therfore the domestic steam combination oven will be listed on the Schedule of
Excluded Products with compliance to AS/NZS 60335.1 & AS/NZS 60335.2.6 providing
Evidence of Suitability for this product to be installed within a plumbing and drainage
system.
