Today The Age Victoria published an article “Victorian Building Authority to inspect 170 buildings for flammable cladding“.
The article is based on the interview that David Youssef who is the deputy cheif officer from the MFB had with the AGE Victoria on The Victorian Building Authority inspecting a selection of buildings around the Melbourne CBD area in relation to the Docklands fire.
David stated “I actually didn’t expect to see it in my career because I was confident that Melbourne high-rises were built to very high standards. We’ve been caught by surprise with what occurred there”.
